Ben has spent the last decade getting active-transport and mode-shift programmes off the ground in Aotearoa — most recently leading the growth and delivery of Auckland Transport's Bike Hubs network, where he secured the funding, navigated the approvals, and ran the delivery end to end.

He works across oceans, environment and urbanism, with a track record that runs from environmental monitoring and policy development to community kaimoana programmes and fundraising growth for fisheries advocacy. Trained as a marine and environmental scientist, he's happiest when the strategy work stays connected to what's happening on the ground — and he's hands-on through partnerships, planning and delivery.
